This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This request for quote is issued with reference number F53MSS33100200. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-15. There is one (1) line item for this requirement as follows: CLIN 0001: Services, non-personal: Contractor to furnish all labor, tools, parts, materials, facilities, transportation, and supervision necessary to provide for the disassembly, relocation, storage, and reassembly of furniture according to the Statement of Work. The Statement of Work is as follows: 1. The contractor shall disassemble, relocate, store, and reassemble furniture, which will be coordinated with the replacement of carpeting in the building. The period of performance will be from Jan 2004 to Oct 2004. Due to the high volume of customer traffic and the variety of offices occupying this building, the furniture move will be done in eight (8) phases. The contractor shall box unneeded files, dismantle systems furniture, remove all furniture from identified offices, transport some of the furniture to a Defense Reutilization and Marketing Office (DRMO) building (to be identified during walk thru of building), store remaining furniture and files in an area provided by the contractor for approximately five (5) weeks, reassemble systems furniture, re-situate stand alone furniture, and the delivery of the boxes of files back into the offices. The schedule for these phases will be provided to the contractor upon award. 2. Flexibility is critical due to the nature of the work being done in the building. This project cannot proceed to the next phase until the previous phase is complete. If the schedule slips, the government will provide an updated schedule to the awarded contractor. The government will provide boxes for the files, but the contractor shall furnish any other required boxes for the storage of the furniture. The boxes will be reused for subsequent moves until all the phases are completed. Clauses and provisions listed below can be viewed and/or downloaded from the Internet: http://farsite.hill.af.mil/.
