Description
SUPPLIES SOURCES SOUGHT. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Weather Service (NWS), National Logistics Support Center (NLSC) has a requirement for synthetic lubricating gearbox oil, American Lubricants, P/N SHC 75W or Mobil Oil P/N SHC 624, NSN: 9150-01-418-8738, ASN: R400-014-O-20 (5-gallon containers) and synthetic lubricating gearbox oil, American Lubricants P/N SHC 75W or Mobil Oil P/N SHC 624, NSN: 9150-93-000-0002, ASN: R400-014-O-21 (1-quart containers). This is a requirements contract for a base period of twelve (12) months with four (4) twelve (12) month option periods. The Government knows of only one (1) source that can provide both items. The company is A. J. Klein Corporation. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with this company under the authority of FAR 6.302. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within 45 days after the date of publication of this synopsis may be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government to restrict competition for this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. In order to be considered, firms must furnish detailed information concerning their capability to provide these products. Such information shall include at a minimum: name; telephone number and point of contact; ability to provide the above referenced lubricating oil product specifications and the names and telephone numbers of firms to whom this product or similar products have been previously provided. The applicable NAICS code is 324110. All interested parties must reference Request for Proposal No. NWWA1200-3-30477PY. Requests may be faxed to (816) 426-7530. The Central Administrative Support Center (CASC), Acquisition Management Division (AMD), requires that all contractors doing business with this Acquisition Office must be registered with the Central Contractor Registry (CCR) before October 1, 2003.
