Description

NA This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are b eing requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. This is a firm fixed price, contract. Simplified procurement procedures will be used as well as commercial item acquisition regulations part 12. This is a contract for Commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. CLIN 0003: Three Place Troop Seat. NSN: 1680-01-464-4948, P/N: 301130-1. Qty: 96 each. Description: Three Place Troop Seat for KC135 aircraft. Meets USAF Specification PD990315 and MIL-SPEC S-5804. Alternatives to the items listed above may be considered with a written response. The response must be accompanied by clear and convincing evidence that comparable item(s) are received within fifteen days after publication of this notice, a sole source contract with Simula Safety Systems, Inc. will be pursued. However, all proposals received within fifteen days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
