Description

The above referenced solicitation is hereby amended to respond to a technical question submitted and extend the due date for quotations by one (1) day.***The due date for quotes is hereby changed as follows: FROM: Monday, December 8, 2003 at 3:00 PM Eastern Time TO: Tuesday, December 9, 2003 at 3:00 PM Eastern Time. QUESTION: Do you want out-of-the-box software to control the camera or should it be customized and what features do you want to control. ANSWER: No customization except that NIST wants to be able to control the camera remotely via interface to the computer - not necessarily the same used for data transfer - e.g., could be separate GPIB or RS-232 port. Ready-to-use drivers for Labview or Active X drivers are preferred, but as long as the software codes for control functions are identified and can be sent to the camera, NIST can work with that. Should be able to control all camera functions that would be controllable via manual settings, including frame acquisition and transfer to computer, exposure (integration time), activation or override of any automatic control such as exposure controls, number of frames to acquire, binning, number of frames to be acquired into local memory, switching to subframe rapid scan mode for focus, control of cooling fan speed.
