Description

NA The U.S Army Corps of Engineers, New York District intends to issue an Invitation for Bidding (IFB) to award a contract for the Arthur Kill Channel Navigation Improvement Project, Contract 2, for the States of New York and New Jersey. The project consists of deepening of the existing 35 feet (MLW) Federal Navigation Channel System to a depth of 43 feet (MLW). The project area is located Arthur Kill Channel at New York, New Jersey Harbor. The Project consists of the dredging and disposal of non-rock and dri lling, blasting, dredging and disposal of rock. The scope of work also includes the sampling testing of subsurface materials at locations. The non-rock materials unsuitable for the HARS placement will be disposed at the contractors identified and/or Govern ment designated processing and upland disposal site (s) and Confined Disposal Facility of the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey. No Award will be made unless Small Business Sub-Contracting Plan is accepted and approved. The Plan must address maximum efforts to utilize Small Business, Woman Owned S.B. Hub Zone S.B, Veteran Owned S.B., and Disabled Veteran Owned S.B. The duration of this project is approximately 607 calendar days, to include options. This Procurement is being solicited as UNRESTRICTED. The applicable NAICS Code is 237990 with a Small Business Size of $17.0 Million. The SIC Code is 1629. Bid opening will be held in room 1841 of 26 Federal Plaza, New York. The media selected for the issuance of the synopsis/solicitation and amendments shall solely be at the discretion of the Government; accordingly, the media utilized for this project shall be the Internet and CD-ROM. Paper copies of this solicitat ion, and amendments, if any, will not be available or issued.
