Description

Contractor shall furnish all labor, material, supplies and equipment necessary for the stabilization of the Tom Kelley Bottle House (Bottle House) in Rhyolite, Nevada. The Bottle House has been determined eligible for The National Register of Historical Places, and is located 2 miles west of Beatty, Nye County, Nevada. The work includes: lateral load improvement; new roof coverings; repair and rehabilitation of the walls; repointing of adobe mortar; repair of windows and reconstruction of missing window sashes; repair and rehabilitation of existing doors; reconstruction of east (rear) door; rehabilitation and repair of exterior wood trim and molding; new exterior wood trim; fabrication and insulation of temporary sunscreens; and careful dismantling and storage of existing front porch for later rehabilitation. The attic and interior area of the Bottle House contain rodent droppings and the Contractor will be responsible for following regulations and recommendations regarding the handling and disposal of rodent droppings. Contractor shall also assume that all painted surfaces of the interior and exterior of the Bottle House are painted with lead-bearing paint, and shall comply with contract requirements regarding lead paint. This project is open to both large and small businesses under full and open competition procedures as authorized by the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. The Government Estimate is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. The solicitation will be in electronic format only at http//www.fbo.gov Contractors will be required to print the bidding documents for submission of their offer at the place designated for receipt of offers for a public bid opening. Bid guarantee will be required in the amount of 20 percent of the bid price. Payment and Performance bonds will also be required in the amount of 100 percent of the contract award amount. Contractors must be registered or have updated their registration at the Central Contractor Registration website at www.ccr.gov to be eligible to receive an award under this solicitation.
