Description: NA The US Army Communications and Electronics Command intends to issue a new work modification to contract DAAB07-02-C-H302 with Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation to add three AN/TPQ-36(V)8 Radar Set Kits, associated spare parts, additional spares, and rai se the Time and Materials Contract Line Item of the final option year. The procurement will be a sole source to Northrop Grumman Systems, 600 Hicks Road, Rolling Meadows, IL 60008-1098. The AN/TPQ-36 FireFinder radar system is a mobile, phased array rad ar system that automatically locates hostile mortar and artillery projectiles. Northrop Grumman is the designer of the AN/TPQ-36(V)8 and the only source that has produced and delivered this system to the Army. The Government possesses only a general syst em performance specification and there are no Level III detailed drawings or specifications that would enable another source to replicate the form, fit, or function of the radar system. Northrop Grumman is the sole developer and producer of this shelter a nd is the only contractor possessing the expertise and technical knowledge qualifying it as a responsible source. Therefore, a modification will be awarded to Northrop Grumman to exercise option year 3, and additional efforts above, on contract DAAB07-02- C-H302 under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2409(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1(b)(1) Only One Responsible Source. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the agency. Only written requests will be accepted.
