- Description
- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation No.: DG1352-04-RP-0008 is issued as a request for proposal (RFP). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 16, as of December 15, 2003. This RFP is being conducted under full and open competition. The NAIC Code is 712110. A copy of the solicitation in full text will be posted in the Federal Business Opportunity Page (FEDBIZOPPS). Offerors may submit written questions requesting information or clarification of the RFP requirements through December 19, 2003 at 2:00 P.M. EASTERN TIME to allow the program office adequate time to prepare and issue responses to all Offerors prior to closing date and time set for receipt of proposals. Please specify the solicitation number in the subject line of the message. The closing date for Solicitation No.: DG1352-04-RP-0008 is January 5, 2004, at 2:00 P.M.EASTERN TIME. In addition, Offerors should access the solicitation page referenced prior to submission of offers to determine if the solicitation has been amended. Offerors who download solicitations from the Internet Page assume responsibility for obtaining any amendments to a solicitation. Your written response to any solicitation must include acknowledgement of receipt of any amendment(s). The Government intends to enter into a contract with a Hotel for a base period of 12-months with two (2) additional 12-month options periods for a total of 36 months to provide space for the Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA) MED WEEK 2004 Conference to provide a forum to recognize outstanding achievements and accomplishments of minority entrepreneurs and members of their nationwide support network. The conference must fall within the months of September to October, 2004. The dates proposed must not include any major holidays or major conflicting events. The conference will begin with a traditional welcome reception on a Monday evening and end with an awards banquet on the following Friday evening. Contractors are required to bid the entire period of the conference. The conference must be held within the general Washington, DC area as follows: 1. within a 10 mile radius from the Department of Commerce Herbert C. Hoover Building at 14th Street and Constitution Avenue, N.W., Washington, DC. 2. Conference site must be fully accessible to a Metro Subway train station and that shall mean that the station must be within one-half (1/2) mile walking distance. Proposals must be submitted in writing and signed by an authorized individual of the company. The Government will not accept electronic, facsimile, telegraphic or telephonic proposals. FAR Provision 52.212-1, entitled Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items, applies to this solicitation. The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be the most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. Each offeror shall include a completed copy of FAR Provision 52.212-3, entitled Offeror Representation and Certifications-Commercial Items, with its proposal. FAR Clause 52.212-4, entitled Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items applies to this acquisition. There are no addenda items to FAR 52.212-4. FAR Clause 52.212-5, entitled Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statues or Executive Orders-Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. This acquisition is not rated under Defense Priorities and Allocations System (DPAS).
