Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; propos als are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation will be issued through ASFI/FedBizOps as will any amendments thereto. The Solicitation Number is W52H09-04-R-0080 and is issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP). The so licitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-16, effective 01 Oct 03. This requirement is for 35 each, 6.0 CFM Compressors with 70 each, 3200 psi Fill Adapters, Part Number Bauer C-D/DV/NAVY/DFA. There is no NSN. FOB Destination. Delivery destinations will be provided prior to award. The following provisions apply to this acquisition: FAR 52.212-1, Instruction to Offerors--Commercial Items (OCT 2003); FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Represen tations and Certifications -- Commercial Items (JUN 2003) (a copy of this provision shall be completed and submitted with the offer; FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items (OCT 2003); and FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Re quired to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders--Commercial Items (OCT 2003) along with the additional FAR clauses cited under paragraph (b) 1,7,13,14,15,16,17,18,19,21,29. This solicitation is restricted to Bauer Compressors, Inc., 1328 Azalea Garden Rd, Norfolk, VA 23502. Offers from concerns other than the above are not solicited. Published for subcontracting purposes only. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one so urce under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received with in fifteen days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Governm ent. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Response is due by 29 Dec 03, 4:30 P.M., local time.
