This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Proposals are being requested the solicitation will be available at http:/ideasec.nbc.gov on January 2, 2004. A WRITTEN SOLICITAION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. Solicitation No. 2450040001 is issued as a Request for Proposals and will be awarded as a firm- fixed price negotiated contract. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 421860. FAR 12.104 Promoting Competition -the National Parks Service (NPS) will be opening competition for the supply of Volunteer Standard Uniforms. The government intends to enter into negotiations on a competitive basis within 30 days after the publication of this notice. Vendors shall provide written confirmation of past performance, at least a three year history of providing this type of supply. Price may be negotiated if required. The anticipated award date is February 5, 2004. The solicitation items are as follows: uniform supplies include Line Item 1 (QTY)45,000 volunteer cap patches, Line Item 2 (QTY) 45,000 Volunteer Standard Uniform patches, Line Item 3 (QTY) 25,000 Master VIP Uniform Patches, Line Item 4 (QTY) 10,000 Take Pride Rockers, Line Item 6(QTY) 25,000 Volunteer Lapel Pin's and Line Item 7 (QTY) 10,000 Hard Hat Decals. The following FAR provisions and clauses are applicable to this acquisition: FAR 52.212-01 Instructions to Offerors- Commercial Items FAR 52.212-03 Offerors, FAR 52.212-04 Contract Terms and Conditions- Commercial Items, FAR 52.212-05 Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statues or Executive Orders -Commercial Items 52.222-36 Affirmative Action for Workers with Disabilities,52.225-1 Buy American Act- Supplies. 52.222-35 Equal Opportunity for Special Disabled Veterans. For this solicitation, vendors wishing to respond to this offer should provide this office with the following: A price quote on company letter head for the requested items showing the unit price, delivery time after receipt of order, payment terms, correct remittance address and a completed copy of FAR Clause 52.212-03 Offeror Representations and Certifications- Commercial Items. This form may be requested from the Contract Specialist by FAX or email. NO TELEPHONE REQUESTS WILL BE ACCEPTED. Description:100% Set-aside for Small Business. This procurement is offered as 100% Set- aside for Small Business, and the National Parks Service encourages the participation of disadvantaged and women-owned business enterprises.
