- Description
- The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office, Grand Prairie, TX intends to make a single award for the provision of Quality Assurance Specialist services (North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code (611430) at the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Manchester, Kentucky. The contractor shall be responsible for, but not limited to, the contractor will review, identify and address any adverse trends in patient care and outcome, including morbidity and mortality, and report this data to the appropriate committees. Will review medical records of patients receiving specialized care, such as, Hospitalizations, outpatient medical consultations and evaluations, and assist with the implementation of follow-up procedures regarding issues of continuity of patient care. Generation of data and reports requires the contractor to possess excellent technical skills in computer software and equipment. All generated forms and reports must be from computer software, graphics, and represent a high grade of performance documentation. The contract must be a graduate of at least a Licensed Practical Nurse program, Nursing Program, or formal Medical Records Program. Must have at least one (1) year experience in the medical field after completion of formal training and one (1) year experience in the Quality Assurance/Risk Management field. Correctional experience is desired, but not necessary. Must possess current state Nursing license, Registered Health Information Technician, or Registered Health Information Manager. All contractors doing business with the Federal Government must to be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. The website for registration is www.ccr.gov. The contract periods will consist of a 12-month base period and four 12-month option periods for renewal. The estimated quantities for the base and each option year are 1560 one (1) hour session per year. Services will average 30 sessions per week. The solicitation will be available on/about February 27, 2004 and will be distributed solely through this website. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The website provides downloading instructions to obtain all documents relating to this solicitation. All future information concerning this acquisition, including the solicitation and any subsequent amendments, will be distributed through the website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the website to ensure they have the most up-to-date information about the acquisition. The date for receipt of quotations is on/about March 26, 2004. This solicitation is a total small business set-aside. All responsible small business concerns are encouraged to submit a quotation which may be considered. See Note 1.
