Description

The ITEC4 anticipates the issuance of a final Request for Proposals (RFP) W91QUZ-04-R-0005 for commercially produced automatic identification technologies (AIT-III) to support the DoD, the Coast Guard, contractor purchases in support of DoD, foreign military sales and other Federal Agencies. The equipment includes both hand held and fixed station bar code data collection devices, direct thermal/thermal transfer printing, two-dimensional bar code imagers, contact memory devices, PCMCIA memory cards, o ptical memory cards and IEEE 802.11b communication devices. The equipment will provide a common integrated structure for logistics tracking, locating, and monitoring of assets and processes, both tactical and non-tactical applications. Software requireme nts include bar code label and form design software, application software development kits, application generation software, wireless network management software, and FIPS 140-1 or FIPS 140-2 wireless network security. Services include technical engineeri ng services, training, maintenance, documentation, and program management. An indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) type contract is contemplated. Anticipated release date for the final RFP to the Army Single Face to Industry site https://abop. monmouth.army.mil/ is 27 January 2004 with proposals due 30 days after issuance. A Solicitation Mailing List will not be maintained as distribution of the RFP is made via public postings on the ASFI website and the Federal Business Opportunities (Fedbizop ps) website.
