Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Operations Division, Kansas City District and the Contracting Division, Civil Contracts Branch are seeking potential sources to enter into Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPA) for the delivery of rock and quarry product s to one or all of the following locations: Clinton Lake Project, Lawrence, Kansas; Harlan County Lake Project, Republican City, Nebraska; Hillsdale Lake Office, Paola, Kansas; Kanopolis Lake Project, Marquette, Kansas; Long Branch Lake Project, Macon, Mi ssouri; Longview-Blue Springs Lake Project, Kansas City, Missouri; Milford Lake Project, Junction City, Kansas; Wilson Lake Project, Sylvan Grove, Kansas; Melvern Lake Project, Melvern, Missouri; Perry Lake Project, Perry, Kansas; Pomme de Terre Lake P roject, Hermitage, Missouri; Pomona Lake Project, Vassar, Kansas; Rathbun Lake Project, Centerville, Iowa; Smithville Lake Project, Smithville, Missouri; Stockton Lake Project, Stockton, Missouri; Harry S. Truman Lake Project, Warsaw, Missouri; Tuttle Creek Lake Project, Manhattan, Kansas; and Missouri River Area Office, Napoleon, Missouri. This is a Sources Sought Announcement ONLY for Various Rock and Quarry Products. No solicitation is being issued at this time. The solicitation, when issued, wil l be a Request for Quotes. The request for Quotes will include the specifications for the anticipated rock/quarry products. Known rock/quarry products at this time are for AB-3, Summer Cold Mix, ???? chips, sand, 2-inch mud rock, 18-22 inch riprap. Ple ase be advised that this is not an all-inclusive listing of rock/quarry products. Dependent upon the needs of the government, type and quantity of rock/quarry products may vary and changes will be made accordingly within the resultant Blanket Purchase Ag reements. It is anticipated that the contract performance period will be a base period of one year and four one-year option periods, exercised at the unilateral right of the Government. The contract type will be Blanket Purchase Agreements. The Governme nt intends to issue as many Blanket Purchase Agreements as necessary to meet the needs of the Government in 18 project offices that span the states of Missouri, Kansas, Iowa, and Nebraska. The specific number of BPAs to be awarded has not been identified at this time. The geographic boundaries of the Kansas City District may be found on our website at: http://www.nwk.usace.army.mil/contract/contract.html. The award of Blanket Purchase Agreements for these commercial items will be made in accordance with the applicable Federal Acquisition Regulations. The small business size standard is 500 employees. For informational purposes. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) code is 1411. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 212311. The Federal Supply Classification (FSC) code is 5610. This procurement will be 100% small business set aside in all areas where there is a reasonable expectation that two or more bidders are interested and will provide a bid. However, the Gover nment has current knowledge that there are locations within the Kansas City District geographic boundaries where only large businesses can provide rock/quarry products, have monopolies, and have acquired all of the small businesses. This information will be taken into consideration when looking at the number, availability and accessibility of all rock/quarry sources. All interested sources are to provide a listing and descriptive literature of all rock and quarry products that they provide, as well as the specific areas/locations listed above that they are interested in providing rock/quarry products.
