Description
The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) is requesting quotations for a Hanging Wood and Acrylic Frame to display a 25 inch x 21-1/8 inch uncut 32 subject currency sheet. The Request for Quotation (RFQ) number is RFQ-04-0156. The Hanging Wood and Acrylic Frame shall be constructed in accordance with the attached drawing. In addition to the drawing the following is required: 1. The wood rail must be made of walnut wood; and 2. the S-hooks and S-chain must be made of brass. The BEP part number for this item is 2S000854. Prospective offerors may obtain a small one (1) inch representative sample of the walnut wood currently being used by contacting Diane Rollins. The BEP sample will be mailed by United States Postal Service regular mail. The BEP will award a single Indefinite Delivery/Requirements Purchase Order for the subject item. The ordering/performance period for this order will be from date of award through September 30, 2004. During this time period the total estimated ordering quantity is 300 frames. During the effective period of the Indefinite Quantity/Requirements Purchase order, the Government is not obligated to order the estimated quantity set forth in the Purchase Order. These quantities reflect the amount or number of items that the Government plans to purchase. However, these quantities are only estimates. The government may order none or as much as it requires to meet its needs. The Contractor is obligated to provide or deliver the quantities ordered. No funds are obligated by this Indefinite Delivery/Requirements Purchase Order. All funds shall be obligated by individual delivery orders citing applicable fiscal year and accounting data when issued. Deliveries under this Indefinite Quantity/Requirements Purchase Order shall be completed within 20 days after receipt of an order, unless an alternate delivery date is agreed to in writing by both parties. Delivery terms are F.O.B. DESTINATION to the Bureau of Engraving and Printing, 14th & C Streets, SW, Washington, DC 20228-0001. The simplified acquisition procedures set forth in FAR Parts 12 and 13 shall be used. Although a synopsis was issued this is a combined synopsis/solicitation. That synopsis was issued for administrative purposes due to specific requirements for posting the attached drawing on the Federal Business Opportunities database. This notice constitutes the only solicitation; therefore, a written request for quotation will not be issued. This procurement is 100% set aside for small businesses. The NAICS code is 423220, Frames and Pictures Wholesaling, with a small business size standard of 500 employees. An offerors quote must contain the following in order to be evaluated: 1. quoted unit price (quoted F.O.B. DESTINATION); 2. relevant past performance information that includes a minimum of three (3) references, Past performance information must include the name of Contracting Activity or Customer; Contract Number or Other Identification Number; Brief Description of Contract Requirements; and Name of Contracting Officer/Marketing Representative and Telephone Number; 3. one (1) complete sample Hanging Wood/Acrylic Frame. The quote must also include the offerors company name (with address, phone number, and fax number), RFQ number, any prompt payment discount terms, name of a point of contact , tax identification number, DUNS number, any size status (i.e., small business, small disadvantage business, and/or woman owned business). If this item is available under GSA Schedule please provide the schedule number. The basis on which an award as a result of this RFQ will be made is price and other factors (1. past performance and 2. quality).
