Description
This Amendment "001" is hereby issued to change the due date for quotes from 20 Jan 04 to 28 Jan 04. The following questions and answers are herby provided. 1) Is there an NSN or manufacturers name and part number for this RFQ? No, brand name is not being specified. Please quote per the purchase description. 2) What type of electrified monorail system is in place? What is the beam size? The existing monorails in the plating shop are Acco Louden, 3.33 patent track, Series 604 Supertrack, catalog # 604.922. The hoist and trolley must be suitable for 3?-9? radius, 180 degree turns. 3) The lift speed on the hoist is required 16ft per minute. Is there a variance allowed +/- 5% so as to utilize different hoist manufacturers? The 16fpm hoists can be 15-21 fpm. The hoists that are 11fpm or less must remain that way. They are for a process that requires less than 11fpm. 4) Will there be required installation and testing of the hoists? Will subcontractors be required to dispose of existing hoists? No. 5) The specification calls for a power pilot light. Do you just want a light on the hoist that indicates the power is on? The light indicating power to the hoist should be on the control pendant. 6) What type of electrification is currently on the monorail? We are going to use our existing collectors. 7) Do you need 14 electric chain hoists with trolleys? The specs indicate that we need 14 electric chain hoists lug-mounted to a trolley.
