Description
This is a market survey to locate sources for the production of the AN/AVR-2A(V)1 Laser Detecting Set (LDS), NSN 5865-01-346-4772, Part No. A3177176. The LDS consists of four (4) each Sensor Unit SU-130A/AVR-2A(V), NSN 5865-01-346-2246, Part No. A317 7195 and one (1) each Comparator, Interface Unit CM-493A/AVR-2A(V), NSN 5865-01-345-1264, Part No. A3177190. It is anticipated that the proposed acquisition will be a five year Firm Fixed Price, Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract (one basic year and four option years). The initial order will be for a quantity of 17 each LDS with a required delivery of 2 each per month commencing 180 days after award. The initial order shall satisfy the contract's minimum order requirements. Unit pricing , by contract year, will be required for a maximum quantity up to 325 LDS over the five year contract period. This LDS has previously been procured sole source from Goodrich Corporation (and its predecessors), 100 Wooster Heights Road, Danbury, CT 06810, C AGE Code 8F963. Complete technical data suitable for the manufacture of this system is not available from the Army. However, a performance based specification is available upon request. Potential offerors are requested to submit a statement of their inter est along with a description of their proposed technical approach and experience in the production of airborne tactical laser warning receivers not later than 9 February 2004. The responses must demonstrate knowledge of the system, including the ability of the proposed product to be physically and functionally interchangeable at the LRU level with the items produced by the current source and also provide a detailed description of the facilities and equipment to be utilized for the production.
