Description

Solicitation--IFB N68711-04-B-7705, REPAIR SEWER LIFT STATIONS, MAINSIDE (TP-E-0310M) at the Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center, Twentynine Palms, CA. The work includes furnishing all materials, labor, equipment and supervision for the repair, renovation or demolition at sewer lift stations; Lift Station #7 involves demolition. Various piping, concrete slabs, pumps and other equipment will be demolished and replaced with the same or similarly functioning components, all appurtenances and incidental related work shall be provided. Temporary lift stations are required as indicated on the drawings to provide uninterrupted service during the construction. Temporary stations must be capable of handling full capacity of the station they are replacing with full backup capability. Temporary stations must be duty/standby with alarms and alarm settings that allow sufficient response time to avoid spill and incidental related work. A Quality Control Program will be required as set forth in the Contract Specifications. NOTE: All Federal Contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database, new contract awards can only be made to contractors who are registered in the CCR. Only one site visit will be offered. Bid Opening 2:00 PM, local time, 12 Mar 2004. Duration of contract 210 calendar days. Estimated Cost Range between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. NOTE: Large business concerns are required to submit a subcontracting plan. This is a Firm Fixed Price contract. This procurement is being issued pursuant to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. NOTE: Bids submitted in response to this advertisement will be evaluated in compliance with FAR Clause 52.219-4, Notice of Price Evaluation Preference for HUBZone Small Business Concerns (Jan 1999), which is applicable to this solicitation. NAICS Code 237110/SIC Code 1623. The related Small Business Size Standard is $28.5. The Government intends to issue this solicitation through the use of the Internet. Plans and Specifications will NOT be directly provided in a paper hard copy format. Notification of any changes to this solicitation (amendments) shall be made only on the Internet. It is therefore the Contractor?s responsibility to check the below listed address daily for any posted changes to this solicitation?s plans and specifications. Download from the Internet is free of charge; however, some plans and specifications will take a considerable amount of time to download. Telephone or FAX requests will not be accepted. The official Plan Holder?s list will be maintained on, and can be printed from the Internet site. All prospective bidders must register as planholders on the Internet EBS Web Site for this project. Each company must indicate its name, address, phone number, and E-Mail address; identify whether the firm is a Prime, sub or Supplier, and indicate whether firm is a small Business, Small Disadvantaged Business or Large Business or if firm is a Woman-Owned Business.
