Description
The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport intends to award a Firm Fixed Price Contract on a Sole Source basis to Precision Filters, Inc., 240 Cherry St., Ithaca, NY 14850 for a 28000 Data Acquisition and Signal Conditioning System. The Government plans to issue a request for written quote to Precision Filters, Inc., using FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 13. The anticipated award date is 12 March 2004. This action is being processed on a Sole Source basis due to the fact that Precision Filters?s system provides a programmable active multi-frequency cut-off Bessel filters which are needed to provide measurement flexibility of different bandwidths for the wide range of equipment being tested. The Precision Filters system also has the capability to self check itself to factory standards in the field providing necessary levels of confidence the system is operating on and capable of acquiring accurate data. This capability is unique to Precision Filters along with their temperature monitoring and alarm system. The chassis specifications are: Capable to support up to 64 channels of fully programmable transducer conditioning; condition charge, IEPE w/TEDS (ICP), Bridge, Dynamic Strain, Voltage, F-to-V and others; Up to 250kHz bandwidth; verify system performance with self-tests traceable to NIST; contain built-in temperature and power supply monitoring with alarms; check transducer health, cabling and connections with built-in verification techniques tailored to each transducer type; Ethernet network control or serial interface; field swappable AC or DC supplies. The Bridge Amps specifications are: Four channels per card, 64 channels per chassis; balanced programmable constant voltage source with remote sense; up to 20 V excitation delivered to the bridge; up to 127.5 kHz ?filtered? bandwidth or 250 kHz ?Wide-band? bandwidth; two to ten wire, plus shield transducer input interface; automatic bridge balance; four thousand ninety-six step bipolar shunt cal or single step bipolar resistive shunt cal; shunt any bridge arm; selectable bridge configuration (1-arm, 2-arm, or 4-arm) with read back; programmable AC/DC input coupling; programmable amplifier: x1/16 to x8192 with 0.05% vernier; six-pole anti-aliasing filters with filter bypass (wide-band)-minimum; one-degree phase matching between any channels, DC to Fc; overload detectipn; auxiliary front panel output connection to support the use of custom output modules. The ICP/Voltage Card specifications are: transducer electronic data sheet (TEDS) compliant; gain, x1, x2, x5, x10, x20, x50, x100; auto-ranging gain for best ADC dynamic range; programmable filter: 6 pole Bessel;: Programmable cutoff frequency settings: 10 Hz, 30 Hz, 100 Hz, 300 Hz, 1 kHz, 3 kHz, 10 kHz, 30 kHz, Bypass (100 kHz); current settings of 0, 2, 4, ? 12 mA (programmable); sensor fault detector, open and shorted; sensor bias detector, in-range or out-of-range; AC test current checks sensor, cable and signal conditioner health; output monitor, selects any output; test (cal) input for each channel. NAICS: 334419. Our department no longer issues solicitations or amendments in paper form. Instead, they may be accessed at our web site http://www.npt.nuwc.navy.mil/contract/. We also provide electronic access in our Bid Room.
