THIS IS A COMPETITIVE BUY WITH ONLY 2 KNOWN APPROVED SOURCES (THOMAS INSTRUMENTS AND ROLLS ROYCE). THE GOVERNMENT DOES NOT POSSES TECH DATA. There will be a basic and 4 options years. PR Number(s): FD20300404484 Item: 0001 NSN: 1680-00-605-9700 POWER DRIVE UNIT FG P/N: 5-48705-53, Description: REPAIR/OVERHAUL OF POWER DRIVE UNIT Total estimated Line Item Qty: 109.0000 PR Number(s): Item: 0002 Description: IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE REQUIREMENTS SET FORTH ON THE DD FORM 1423 (EXHIBITS A THROUGH E) ATTACHED AND MADE A PART HEREOF. Total Line Item Qty: 1.0000 LO Electronic procedure will be used for this solicitation. Note: This acquisition will be competed IAW the Depot Maintenance Competition Program as prescribed by Public Law 102.396, Section 9095. This acquisition is open to all interested parties including U.S. Department of Defense sources who submit a bid or proposal and compete for this requirement. This acquisition involves technology that has a military or space application. The extent of foreign participation has not yet been determined. Nothing in this notice contradicts other restrictions, identified in the synopsis notice or solicitation, regarding eligible sources (e.g., if this is a small business set aside, foreign sources may not participate as potential prime contractors but could, if otherwise eligible, participate as subcontractors). Request for Written Quotation will be issued. The anticipated award date will be 60 days after the issuance of this notice. The proposed contract action is for supplies and services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one, or a limited number of sources under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within forty five-days (thirty days if award is issued under an existing basic ordering agreement) after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A Determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. It is suggested that small business firms or others interested in subcontracting opportunities in connection with the described procurement make contact with the firm(s) listed. Specifications, plans, or drawings relating to the procurement described are incomplete or not available and cannot be furnished by the Government. See Note(s) 9, 12 and 26.
