- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center, Weapons Division (NAWCWD) intends to procure technical services for the Weapons Survivability Laboratory (WSL) under the cognizance of the Survivability Division of the Systems Engineering Department. This Procurement is 100% set-aside for Small Businesses with a North American Industry Classification System 541330, size standard of $23 million. The Government anticipates a Cost Plus Fixed Fee, Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity type contract with a basic period of performance of three years with two one-year options. The contractor shall provide technical support for the following types of activities: Testing and evaluation of the survivability of U.S. aircraft and missiles against foreign threats; Testing and evaluation of lethality of U.S. Weapons against foreign aircraft and missiles; safe separation testing of free fall and other weapons; Aerodynamic testing of weapons and recovery systems. This support requires planning, design and documentation, fabrication, test article preparation, instrumentation for data acquisition, testing, logistics, shipping and receiving test articles, WSL maintenance, and project and program reporting. Work will be performed primarily at the WSL, NAVAIR Weapons Division, China Lake, CA. Other potential sites include NAVAIR Weapons Division, White Sands, NM, and Point Mugu, CA. The solicitation will be issued on or about 05 Feb 2004 and be available through the 2.0 Contracts Competency home pages at: https://contracts.nawcwd.navy.mil/rfp-nawc.htm. Security Classification Specification (DD form 254); Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) (DD Form 1423); and other documents associated with this procurement must be requested separately from the cognizant Contract Specialist.
