Description: Note 22 applies. The Government intends to negotiate a sole source commercial contract with Scientific Atlanta for purchase of a 1:1 redundant PowerVu model D9150CVRT originator encoder system with DS3 option in order to allow the American Forces Radio and Television Service (AFRTS)to provide a PowerVu MPEG-2 satellite uplinkk feed of the new Pentagon Channel to a teleport in the United States. This signal must be integrated from the existing AFRTS network, which utilizes only Scientific Atlanta encoders and decoders.
