- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIRSYCOM) intends to purchase change kits to retrofit Gas Turbine Starter/Auxiliary Power Units(GTS/APU) for the F402-RR-408A/B engine for the United States Marine Corps (USMC), the Government of Italy and the Government of Spain. The requirement consists 300 each change kits that incorporates a magnetic chip detector into the GTS/APU oil system with an option to purchase an additional 85 each change kits. The acquisition also includes a requirement for source data for technical directives, technical publications, and Logistic Support Analysis /Maintenance Plans. NAVAIRSYCOM intends to procure these items from Goodrich Control Systems as they are the sole manufacturer of the GTS/APU for the F402 series engine and because they provided all engineering effort required to generate this change kit. This acquisition will be conducted under an existing Basic Order Agreement with Goodrich Control Systems, Pitstone England. See Note No. 22.)
