Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) number W91ZLK 04-T-0247 for commercially available seals for rotary applications with oil, quantity of 6,000 to be delivered t o Aberdeen Proving Ground (F.O.B. Destination). Seals should operate in a seal groove with maximum diametral clearance of .004 inches. Seals must possess polymers which are resistant to harsh chemicals and ozone. Provisions applicable to this acquisitio n are 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors, Commercial; a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Cedrtifications, Commercial Items must be included with offers. The clause at 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions, Commer cial Items, and 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders, Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. The full text of the FAR references may be accessed electronically at this address: http://gsa.gov. far. Proposals are requested for acquisition of Fluorocarbon (FKM) Quad Ring with Polymod Seals. Delivery shall be determined upon contract award. FAR Part 13.6, purchase orders using simplified acquisition procedures applies to this acquisition. Evaluat ion criteria is based on technical capability, price, and delivery. Responses to this RFQ must be signed, dated, and received via electronic mail or FAX (410) 278-0898 by 4:00 p.m. EST on the closing date at the Army Contracting Agency, 4118 Susquehanna A venue, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD 21005-3013, Attention: SFCA-NR-APC-T (Jo Ann Hayes). All vendors not registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to award will not be considered.
