The reaction of the pavement or soil from this shock-wave shall be collected by up to 3 sensors, and immediately recorded to an attached field pocket PC. The data will be stored in the pocket PC for later transfer to an office or portable PC (not included with Portable FWD). The field Pocket PC and included software will be capable of readily display the field test results immediately after the test. Such test result display will include the associated peak test force, stress, deflections and computed modulus of elasticity as well as a wave-form display of the associated force and deflections for each test. The included software will also support the transfer of all test data from the pocket PC to a desktop or portable PC for further analysis and reporting. The main preferred features are: ? Adjustable falling height ? Adjustable weight ? Adjustable pulse-width ? 1 - 3 geophone sensors (measurement of several layers) ? 1 load cell for measuring the impact force ? Adjustable load plates ?
