Description
Final Design and Build of a runway and taxiway (including lighting, markings, and signage), access road, vehicle parking lot, run-up pad with tie-downs, area drainage improvements and miscellaneous items in accordance with the specifications and drawings. The runway will be about 5,000 feet long, 75 feet wide, constructed with ?flexible? Asphalt paving, meeting all applicable FAA requirements (but not certified) and designated for light aircraft. The final design and construction shall meet all applicable Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), State of Nevada, Nye County, and Nevada Test Site requirements. This project will have an aggressive schedule with possible continuous Asphalt paving. ANY INTERESTED FIRMS MUST MEET THEFOLLOWING PRE-QUALIFICATIOINS Company and Individual Personnel Experience ? Runway and Taxiway Design ? Application of FAA requirements for airfield and pavement design, including airfield drainage systems ? Designing for the military/DoD ? Designing ?Flexible? base and surface courses ? Designing runway and taxiway markings ? Adapting to unique geotechnical data and applying to design requirements ? Designs for deserts, on dry lake beds, and at remote locations Company and Individual Personnel Experience ? Runway and Taxiway Construction ? Application of FAA requirements ? Constructing runways for the military/DoD ? Applying ?Flexible? base and surface courses for runways and taxiways ? Use of special techniques and/or materials to stabilize existing soil conditions ? Runway construction in deserts, on dry lake beds, and at remote locations ? Hauling ?Flexible? paving material 75 or more miles from batch plant while maintaining temperature to allow high quality application at the destination ? Fleet capability to haul fill and ?Flexible? paving materials to support continuous placement and ensure expeditious completion of work ? Placing base, sub-base, and ?Flexible? paving to ensure a smooth, long lasting, load bearing runway and taxiways suitable for light aircraft ? Placing ?Flexible? surface courses over extended durations in cold weather ? Applying runway and taxiway markings and lighting Company Safety ? Safety Record for Past 5 Years (OHSA rating, etc.) ? Safety Program Company Quality Assurance/Quality Control ?
