Description
Under authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1), the Government anticipates entering into sole source procurement with Minneapolis Convention Center, 1301 Second Ave. So., Minneapolis, MN 55403 for use of approximately 200,000 GSF from June 27, 2005 to July 2, 2005. NAICS code 531120 applies to this procurement. In cooperation with a determination made by the Paralyzed Veterans of America, the Department of Veterans Affairs, Minneapolis Medical Center, Minneapolis, MN intends to enter into negotiations for accommodation in support of the 2005 Wheelchair Games, to be held in Minneapolis, MN. The above authority is cited and justification made based on the determination that the Government?s minimum needs can best be satisfied by services available from one source. This contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under FAR 6.302 and under Commercial Item Acquisition, FAR Part 12. Interested persons may identify their capability to respond to this requirement or to submit proposals by March 12, 2004. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received on or before March, 12, 2004. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of the notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
