- The Office of U.S. Foreign Disaster Assistance is located within the Bureau for Democracy, Conflict and Humanitarian Assistance. The Office of the Director consists of the Director, Deputy Director, Secretary, Training Advisor, External Liaison, and the Program Operations Specialist (POS). Approximately 80% of the POS is in direct support to the External Liaison Officer, and is responsible for preparing programmatic and other formal documentation concerning disasters worldwide. The incumbent is supervised by the Deputy Director but day to day duties are monitored by the External Liaison.
