Description
The project consists of maintenance dredging the Rudee Inlet Entrance Channel and Sand Trap by hydraulic pipeline method. The Entrance Channel shall be dredged to depths varying between 10 feet and 12 feet MLLW (NOS) with 2 feet of allowable overdept h at each respective depth; and, the Sand Trap to a depth of 18 feet MLLNOS) with 2 feet of allowable overdepth. The Contractor shall place the dredged material in the Government-furnished, unconfined, shoreline dredged material management area and constru ct finished elevations and grades in the placement area to the tolerances indicated and specified. Including estimated accretion to April 2004 and allowable overdepth, the project involves dredging approximately 49,090 cubic yards of material. On 21 April 2003, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, National Ocean Service (NOS) updated the National Tidal Datum Epoch (NTDE) from the 1960-1978 epoch to the 1983-2001 epoch. The Contractor is informed the drawings and specifications for this contract have been prepared to the NTDE (1983-20 01) and, accordingly, all work to be performed under this contract shall be accomplished to the NTDE (1983-2001). Conversion of tidal datum and benchmark elevations referenced to the tidal datum updated by the NOS shall be the Contractor??????s responsibil ity. Magnitude of construction is $500,000.00 - $1,000,000.00. Applicable NAICS code is 237990, with a size standard of $17 million. The solicitation will be available on the Internet only.
