- PROJECT SUMMARY: The National Park Service is seeking offers for a firm, fixed-price contract to furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and expertise necessary to construct a new single-family residence with an option for a single-car garage. The single-story residence is approximately 1450sqft plus porches. The project includes site clearing, grubbing, an on-site septic system, and utility extensions for nearby water and power. LOCATION: Stehekin is a remote community located 50 miles from Chelan, Washington, at the north end of Lake Chelan. The Stehekin valley is isolated; the roads do not connect with any highway system. Stehekin is accessible from Chelan only by boat or barge; all materials and equipment will need to be barged. Within the Stehekin valley, the project area can be reached on roads suitable for hauling heavy equipment. Lodging and meal services are available on a limited basis. Cellular phones do not work and there is no public Internet access. SOLICITATION DETAILS: This is a best value procurement subject to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program and set aside for certified HUBZone concerns. The NAICS code for this project is 236115 and the small business size standard is $28.5 million. Contract duration is 160 days following issuance of the Notice to Proceed, with a target completion date of September 30, 2004. In accordance with FAR Subpart 36.204, the price range for this contract is between $100,000 and $250,000.
