- Description
- The VA desires to lease approximately 20, 000 net usable square feet of space for use as a 20-bed residential substance abuse program with an area for an outpatient clinic in the Greater Metropolitan Louisville Kentucky area. The space must be on no more than one floor or two contiguous floors, and can be provided by new construction or modification of existing space. On-site parking for an estimated 100 vehicles may be required. A lease for up to five years with five one-year option renewals will be considered. To be considered, space must be within or bordering the following geopraphic boundaries: South - not to exceed 2 miles outside of Taylorsville Rd; East - not to exceed 2 miles outside of Interstate 264; North - not to exceed 2 miles outside of Shelbyville Rd; West - not to exceed 2 miles outside of Cannons Lane. Offerors must provide evidence that properties are outside the 100-year flood plain. VA staff will conduct a market survey of properties offered for lease. Interested offerors (owners, brokers, or their legal representatives) should submit two (2) copies of specific information concerning their properties to Victoria Caudill, by mail, fax or e-mail no later than 4:00 PM EST on March 1, 2004, at the following address: Attn: Victoria Caudill (90C) VA Medical Center, 800 Zorn Avenue, Louisville KY 40206-1499; fax (502) 894-6115; e-mail victorai.caudill@med.va.gov. Net usable square feet does not include such areas as stairs, elevators, mechanical and utility rooms, ducts, shafts, vestibules and public corridors, and public toilets required by local code. The Government will pay no more than the appraised fair market rental value for space. Respondents are advised that the VA assumes no responsibility to award a lease based upon responses to this advertisement/solicitation.
