Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-18 effective 12 Jan 2004 and Fac 2001-19, effective 1 Jan 2004 + Class Deviation 2003-o0003 and DFARS Change Notice 20040113. The solicitation incorporates by reference the following clauses: FAR 52.204-7, 52.212-1, 52.212-3, 52.212-4, 52.212-5, and 52.217-5, and DFARS 252.204-7004 Alternate A. NAICS Code: 511210. This acquisition is a sole source requirement IAW FAR 6.302-1 (10 U.S.C. 2304(c) (1) to Accelrys Inc., San Diego, CA, the only manufacturer and supplier of the below items that meets the Government?s requirements. This purchase will be for base year (9 months only), and three (3), one (1) year priced options. Delivery schedule for Basic Year requirements is ten (10) days after receipt of order with a coverage period of 1 Nov 2003 through 31 July 2004. Each of the priced options delivery schedule will be ten (10) days after receipt of option exercise modification with coverage period of twelve (12) months from the previous year?s last day of coverage. Resulting contract will include FAR 52.217-7 ?Option for Increased Quantity- Separately Priced Line Items? in full- text, with notification of thirty (30) days before 1 Aug of each year.
