- Description
- The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) intends to award a sole source purchase order to Data Sciences International, St. Paul, MN 55126, pursuant to 41 U.S.C.253(c)(1)--Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This is to be issued under FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items. The purchase is for the following: #271-0147-044, Dataquest Acquisition & Analysis System ART includes computer, monitor, software, board and cable (1 each); #275-002?001 Ambinent Pressure Reference (1 each); #271-0117-001 Dataquest ART Data Exchange Matrix w/cable (2 each); #370-0102-001 Power Supply for ART (both 110v & 220v) (2 each); #274-0009-001 Power Cord to IDE (2 each); #390-0055-001 Video Mouse BP Carotid Technique (1 each); #276-0035-001 PA-C20 Starter Kit (1 each); #272-6001-001 Receiver for Plastic Cages w/cable (8 each); #276-0038-001 Re-gel Syringe (1 each); #276-0022-001 Re-gel Starter Kit (1 each); #279-0004-001 12 month Software Upgrade Agreement (1 each); #270-0118-001 Pressure & Physical Activity Nominal Battery Life (10 each); #270-0042-001 Biopotential, temperature, & physical activity nominal battery life (11 each); and Training & Installation. These items are completely implantable transmitters that allow users to measure blood pressure, ECG, EEG temperature and activity signals in conscious freely moving small animals. The items will be used and must be compatible with existing Data Sciences radio telemetry system. All responsible sources may respond by submitting a written narrative statement of capability within 15 days of date of notice to Dee Lunney at the above address for consideration by the agency. Response must include detailed technical information and other technical literature demonstrating the ability to meet these requirements. Responses shall also include itemized pricing that is sufficient to make a determination that competition is feasible. If no affirmative responses are received within 15 days of the date of this notice to determine whether a qualified source is more advantageous to the Government, an order will be placed with Data Sciences International. The NAICS Code/Size is 334516/500EM.. This procurement is to be processed using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. There is no solicitation package available.
