Description
This project will consist of bridge replacement and rehabilitation on 0.133 miles of roadway for TX FWS HAGE 10(1), Bridges in Hagerman National Wildlife Refuge, Grayson County, State of Texas. Estimated price range is between $1,000,000 and $3,000,000. This project contains 2 separate but similar schedules. Principal work items on the largest schedule include: lump sum contractor testing; 180,000 gal. watering for dust control; 70 each removal of bridge superstructure; lump sum removal of structures and obstructions; 4,200 cu yd embankment construction; lump sum cofferdams; 715 cu yd rip rap (various class); 700 ton aggregate surface course; 159 ton minor hot asphalt concrete; 399.4 cu yd structural concrete, class A; precast prestressed concrete structural members, I-beams/slab; 52,574 lb reinforcing steel; 64,472 lb epoxy coated reinforcing steel; 183.3 ln ft steel bridge railing; 166.7 ln ft steel bridge railing, pedestrian; 999 sq yd membrane waterproofing; 280 ln ft drilled shafts (various); 280 hours heavy equipment operator (various); seeding and mulching and associated surveying, staking, fencing, and traffic control. Amendments to this solicitation will be issued in paper format to all plan holders and will be posted on our website at http://www.cflhd.gov/procurement. The following applies only to Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs): The Department of Transportation (DOT) Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU), has programs to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontractor at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, performance and payment bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80% guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are also available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000 with interest at prime rate, as published daily in the Wall Street Journal, plus 1.75 percent.
