Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation W911RZ-04-T-0020 is issued as a request for quote (RFQ). This solicitation is a small business set-aside. NAICS Code/Size Standard:541519/$21 million. Required Delivery Date: 3 Mar 04. Performance Work Statement: Five classrooms and one conference room at the Mountain Post Training and Education Center (MPTEC) require audio video systems capable of projecting the following media via a ceiling mounted multi media projector: lapto p computer; Internet; CDs, DVDs, VHS tapes; satellite broadcasts; local and cable television broadcasts. Three of the classrooms currently have malfunctioning multi media equipment and shall be replaced using new equipment; functioning devices shall be int egrated with the new equipment. Two classrooms and one conference room shall receive entirely new systems. Services provided by the contractor shall include, selecting and purchasing new audio video equipment, installation, configuration and integration wi th old functioning devices. All work to include the warranty time period shall be performed by the contractor. The contractor awarded this contract shall make all systems in the six rooms operational. The systems in all six rooms shall be easy to operate a nd as identical as possible as there will be many end users of varying technical abilities. In addition, the contractor shall provide scheduled training to three MPTEC staff members to include operation of equipment in each room and basic troubleshooting o f equipment i.e., bulb replacement. Copies of all the warranty paperwork required by the product manufacturer will be provided to the designated MPTEC representative on the day all six rooms are accepted by the MPTEC as fully operational. Following notific ation of a system problem, the contractor shall respond to MPTEC via telephone or email within 24 hours to assist the staff in solving the problem. When the company and MPTEC determine that the problem cannot be solved over the phone or through email, the company shall provide on-site assistance within 48 hours or 2 business days of that determination. Contractor response to system problem is not required on weekends or national holidays. The company shall provide at minimum 90 days warranty for any defects in workmanship. Repairs will be made at no cost to the MPTEC during the warranty period. Classrooms 160A, 222, and 223: Integrate old functional equipment with new. Each of the three rooms shall require the following capability: (1) Multi media projector with XGA resolution of 2,500 ANSI lumens or greater. Classrooms 202A and 203A: Entirely new packages. Each of the two rooms requires the following capability: (1) Multi media projector with XGA resolution of 2,500 ANSI lumens or greater (1) Movie screen, manually operated, 60 by 80 inches. Conference room 149A: Entirely new package. The room shall require the following capability: (1) Multi media projector XGA resolution of 1400 lumens or greater (1) Movie screen, manually operated, 60 by 80 inches. Award will be based on the following evaluation factors: technical, past performance and price. Potential contractors will submit product literature and points of contact for recently performed contracts of similar services. Site visit will occur on Thursday, 12 February, 1000 (MST) at Mountain Post Training and Education Center, Bldg 1117, Room 160A, Fort Carson, CO 80913. The vendor shall include with their quote a completed copy of the provisions at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representation and Certifications--Comm ercial Items.
