Description
The U.S. Army, Office of the Project Manager, Crew Served Weapons, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ is seeking sources for the manufacture and delivery of 12 Gauge Non- Lethal Cartridges, consistent with the M1012 (Point Control) and M1013 (Crowd Control) rounds that satisfy the Performance Specifications PRF 12982874A and PRF 12982875A respectively, attached below. Both of these cartridges provide friendly forces the capability to maintain a standoff distance from hostile forces without deadly force, while maintaining the capability to quickly change to more lethal combat products as the situation warrants. These rounds will provide crowd control against either individuals or small groups utilizing a kinetically delivered mode of incapacitation. The Point Control and Crowd Control cartridges will be used in the Army standard 2.75 and 3.0 inch chambered 12 Gauge Shotgun Systems ( Mossberg Model 500 & 590, Winchester 1200 and the Light Weight Shotgun System). The basic contract is planned for award in FY05 for a quantity in the range of 100K to 200K rounds of each Cartridge, with options. The M1012 and M1013 Cartridges will be procured to the performance specification referenced above. All responsible interested sources are encouraged to submit their capabilities/verification data in regard to the above no later than 60 days of this notice,(by April 12, 2004) to Commander, U.S. Army TACOM-ARDEC, ATTN: AMSTA-AQ-APD, Terry Niederhaus, Bldg. 10, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ 07806-5000. Please include company name, address, telephone number, technical point of contact, and brochures/literature. Firms interested in this acquisition should adequately describe their experience in small caliber production and testing, systems contracting, demonstrated high rate production, annual production capacity, and available test data to support design verification as defined in the referenced Performance Specification in order to be considered for award.
