Description

This is a resolicitation amendment notice of Solicitation DAAA09-03-R-0002. Solicitation DAAA09-03-R-0002 awarded 747,373 fuzes to AMTEC Corporation. Following a sustained protest to GAO, the contract was terminated. The following corrective actio n is proposed. Solicitation DAAA09-03-R-0002, originally awarded on Contract DAAA09-03-C-0068 as a result of U.S. and Canadian Competition, will be reinstated and amended to provide for a resolicitation to U.S. and Canadian Sources for the revised quantit y stated in this notice. The amended solicitation will provide that the award of contract will be made to that offeror submitting the low price, technically acceptable offer that meets schedule requirements. Technical acceptability will be based on an ev aluation of the offerors' Technical Plan. Offerors will be required to address specific capabilities to include the use of manual/automated production equipment, the handling and storage of ammunition and energetic materials, capability to access test fac ilities, capabilities for storing and maintaining equipment, ammunition, and weapons, production/process control characteristics ability to identify and control critical defects, and manual/automated acceptance inspection equipment capabilities. It is ant icipated that the award of this requirement will be a split award to the two most capable offerors.
