- MARKET SURVEY AND REQUEST FOR INFORMATION: Information is being collected for market survey purposes and not as a request for proposal or as an obligation on part of the Government. The Government will not pay for information solicited but is inter ested in world-wide sources. Please identify any proprietary information submitted. All information submitted will be retained in the contract office files as market research but will not be released to the public. There are two items identified in this market survey. You are advised that your firm need not be able to manufacture both items in order to respond to this survey. We will accept responses related to one or both items. Caliber .50 M33 Ball Linked with M9 Link for combat or training, DODIC A555, NSN 1305-00-028-6574, PART NO. 11735439. This round is intended for anti-personnel and unarmored targets. The linked cartridge belts are packed in M19A1 ammunition boxes, and th en wire bound boxes. The M33 Ball projectile consists of a steel core in a copper alloy jacket. While there are no firm requirements at this time, the requirement could be for approximately 6.5 million rounds with deliveries to commence in January 2005. The USG has no intention of waiving any technical data package requirements. Caliber .50 M1A1 Blank Linked with M9 Link, DODIC A598, NSN 1305-01-078-4879, PART NO. 9329735. This round has no projectile and is intended for training. The linked cartridge belts are packed in M19A1 ammunition boxes, and then wire bound boxes. While there are no firm requirements at this time, the requirement could be for approximately 14 million rounds with deliveries to commence in January 2005. The USG has no intention of waiving any technical data package requirements. The Army Field Support Command is seeking sources capable of meeting subject requirements. Interested sources should submit concept papers outlining their capabilities to meet the Armys requirements should they develop. Concept papers, at a minimum, shou ld identify your business structure, business size and status, business capabilities to produce these requirements (equipment, technical, production rate capabilities identifying minimum and maximums, quality system utilized, etc.), past experience with sa me or similar items. Interested sources shall provide their concept papers to HQ, AFSC, ATTN: AMSFS-CCA-F (Ms. Susan McKinnis), Rock Island, IL 61299-6500 by COB 16 FEB 2004.
