- Medical Supplies - Potential Sources Sought Military Hospitals - (Army, Navy, Air Force) TRICARE Regions 9 and 10 Vaginal Specula - Standardization Point of Contact: Cindy Ingrao, Clinical Consultant, Tri-Service Regional Business Office, TRICARE Regions 9 & 10, San Diego, CA. Telephone: (619) 532-8517. Potential sources sought to participate in the regional standardization of Vaginal Specula. TRICARE Regions 9 and 10, a military integrated delivery network (IDN), comprised of Army, Navy and Air Force medical treatment centers in California are in the process of standardizing Vaginal Specula. Other TRICARE Regions may decide to work with Regions 9 and 10 as we go though the process. If your company currently holds or in the process of obtaining a Distribution and Pricing Agreement (DAPA) with the Defense Supply Center-Philadelphia (DSCP) for Vaginal Specula, your company is eligible to participate in the standardization process. Please respond by Email: cingrao@reg9.med.navy.mil and provide your (a) company name, (b) address, (c) point of contact, (d) telephone, (e) fax number, (f) E-mail address, and (e) answers to the below listed questions no later than February 24, 2004. For questions, please call (619) 532-8517. 1.Does your company manufacture disposable vaginal specula? 2.Are your products available through the Prime Vendor, Owens & Minor? 3.What is your DAPA Number? 4.Under what brand(s) does your company manufacture or distribute your product? 5.Under what standards is your product manufactured? 6.Is your product latex free? 7.Do you use non-toxic, color fast dyes for labeling on your product? 8.Is your product optically clear? 9.Is your product made of a material that is durable and resists breaking? 10.Does your product come in a full range of sizes for adult and pediatric patients? 11.How does your company insure your product is free from sharp edges? 12.Does your product come with a light source in the handle? If not, can any appropriate light source be attached to the handle? 13.Does your product come in sterile packaging or clean packaging? 14.Can your product be warmed for comfort of the patient? 15.What types of educational tools or materials do you have for this product line? 16.What kind of staff training does your company provide? 17.Does your company provide customer service 24/7? 18.Is there any history of backorders and/or recalls for this product group?
