Description

The requirement for Music Practice Rooms will no longer be a Sole Source acquisition. The procurement will be conducted under full and open competition in accordance with FAR subpart 13.5 Test Program for Commercial Items. On behalf of the Naval Personnel Command Music Program, Millington, TN, the Fleet & Industrial Supply Center, Jacksonville, Florida intends to award a firm fixed priced contract using commercial test program procedures. The requirement is for five (5) music practice rooms in two different sizes, 6?11? x 8?2? and 5?8? x 6?8?. This is a commercial item. Navy Music Program personnel while on tour at various locations will use the music rooms for rehearsal. The rooms are required to be soundproof, individual and portable and should include at least nine separate acoustical simulations. Delivery will be made to three different locations and installation will be required. The acquisition will be conducted under the NAICS code 332311, where the small business size standard is 500. A firm fixed price contract is contemplated. The solicitation resulting from this announcement will be electronically available on or about 9 February 2004 to interested parties at http://www.fedbizopps.gov.
