- The Environmental Protection Agency contemplates awarding a fixed price contract with a twelve-month base period and will allow for four twelve-month option periods. This will be an unrestricted solicitation awarded via full and open competition. This procurement pertains to journal requirements for the EPA-RTP Research Library. The EPA-RTP Library requires one paper copy of each periodical, and electronic access to these periodicals via Science Direct. The Contractor shall furnish everything needed to provide journal reference services in accordance with the contract requirements. North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) number 511120 applies with a size standard of 500 employees. The anticipated Base Period of Performance is January 1, 2004 through December 31, 2004. The solicitation and all amendments will available on the Internet at the following Internet address: http://www.epa.gov/oam/rtp_cmd/. The solicitation is expected to be available on June 30, 2003 and proposals are expected to be submitted approximately July 31, 2003. Firms are encouraged to download the solicitation from the Internet. Hard copies or diskettes will not be available. It will be your responsibility to frequently check the same site where the notice is posted for any amendments. The U.S. EPA does intend to award this procurement in accordance with FAR Part 12, Commercial Items.
