Description

Soldier Enhancement Program, M25 Stabilized Binocular solicitation. The U.S. Army is planning to acquire and issue additional observation material (model designator and nomenclature: M25 Binocular: stabilized). The U.S. Army plans to procure a mini mum of 600 units on this long-term Indefinite Quantity solicitation. Each M25 binocular will include: two separate direct view optical channels, internal stabilization, lens covers, hardening against lasers IAW Army optical improvement program, hardening against natural and man-made environmental conditions, a reticle similar to the M22 Binocular reticle, one set of batteries if the unit requires batteries, operator's manual, a soft and hard case, and removable day eye-piece assemblies with 12 night eyepie ces available as an accessory. In addition, if the binocular requires power, an arctic battery kit will be required for cold weather use, as well as an external power cable for use of vehicle power. Award will be made based on price and other factors. A production option quantity of up to 10,000 M25's will be included. Estimated issue date of this solicitation is 15 Mar 2004. Response date listed above is only an estimate. FOB is Destination. Compliance with ISO 9001:2000 is required. The specificat ion and performance requirement for a laser protection filter array will be contained in a separate classified addendum to to the solicitation. In order to obtain a complete solicitation package, a facility clearance at the Secret level will be required.
