- General Information Document Type: Sources Sought Notice, Solicitation Number: FA4416-03-T-0001 Posted: 12 Sep 2003 SIC: 3829 Description: 89th Contracting Squadron, Andrews Air Force Base, Andrews, Maryland intends to issue a sole source contract to ADT Security Services, Inc. for Maintenance, Repair and Installation of Security Systems. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. The required services include providing all management services, technical support, personal, equipment, materials, parts, tools, labor, transportation, and other services to maintain, install, and repair the entire existing intrusion detection alarm systems and other related components at Andrews AFB, Brandywine AF sites, and Davidsonville AF site in the state of Maryland to include the fully integrated network of system components which is comprised of the Universal Communication System (UCS), Casi-Rusco monitoring systems, operator work stations, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) supporting central system, components, bridging equipment, channel banks and system software. This is to be completed in accordance with the “Maintenance/Repair and Installation of Intrusion Detection Alarm Systems” Statement of Work, dated 29 July 2003. The period of performance of any resulting contract will be 1 October 2003 to 30 September 2004. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received within 7 days after date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The assigned Contracting Specialist is Mary H. Lawrence.
