Description

THIS SOLICITATION WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR VIEWING AND PRINTING IN APPROXIMATELY 15 DAYS.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspThe project consists of the restoration and enhancement of the Tecopa Charcoal Kilns heritage site for public visitation, safety and education.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspThis includes the professional restoration of the only remaining masonry ?beehive-shaped? kiln used between 1875 and 1910 to supply charcoal for mining smelters.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspThe project also includes the construction of an improved fence around the historic features of the site and interpretive signage.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspThe project is located southeast of Las Vegas, Nevada on State Route 159 (Charleston Blvd) to State Route 160 (Blue Diamond Road).&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspTake SR 160 west to Pahrump, Nevada.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspTurn north on Wheeler Pass Road.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspTravel about 16 miles and at the entrance to Clark Canyon (Forest Road 071), turn left on Forest Road 566 for about 5 miles to the Wheeler Wash Road (Forest Road 601).&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspTurn right and about 3.5 miles, the kilns will be on the left.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspNAICS Code: 237990; Size Standard:&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp$28.5 Million.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspEstimated price range is between $100,000 and $250,000.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspEstimated start date is 4/21/04 with 100 calendar days for completion of work.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspThis proposed procurement is under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program, which is not a small business set-aside.<BR> <BR>
