- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Simplified Acquisition Procedures will be used. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, intends to procure the following items manufactured by SUN Microsystems on a specific make and model basis: ITEM NO. 1: one (1) Sun StorEdge A1000 Disk Array consisting of 876-GB Storage (12 x 73 GB), two (2) Power Supplies, four (4) Fans, one (1) RAID Controller with 24 MB of Cache, and RAID Manager 6.22 Software, Rack-Ready; one (1) Dual Differential Ultra/Wide SCSI (PCI), part no. X6541A; Testing and Configuration. ITEM NO. 2: four (4) Sun Fire V240 Servers c onsisting of two (2) 1-GHz UltraSPARC IIIi Cu Processors, one (1) MB L2 Cache per Processor, two (2) GB Memory, two (2) 36-GB 10000 RPM Ultra 3 SCSI LVD Disk Drives, four (4) 10/100/1000-Mbps Ethernet Ports, two (2) Power Supplies, one (1) 66-MHz 64-bit Wide PCI Slot, two (2) 33-MHz 64-bit Wide PCI Slots, System Configuration Card, Sun Advanced Light Out Manager (ALOM) Pre-Installed, and Solaris 8 Operating System Pre-Installed; four (4) Power Cord Kits, North American/Asian, part no. X311L; four (4) Sun GigaSwift Ethernet UTP, part no. X1150A; one (1) Solaris 8 HW 5/03 Media Kit & English Installation Documentation, part no. SOLZS-08JB9AYM; four (4) Internal DVD-ROM Drive Slimline for Sun Fire 210 and Sun Fire 240, part no. X7410A; four (4) 12GB 4mm DDS-3 in a UniPack Desktop Enclosure, part no. SG-XTAP4MM-011A; four (4) Power Cord Kits, part no. X311L; four (4) 68-pin t o 68-pin SCSI Cable Kits, part no. X3856A; four (4) PGX64 Card with Video Adapter PGX64 24-bit Color Frame Buffer, Software on CD, Video Adapter Cable, part no. X3768A; four (4) Sun StorEdge A1000 Disk Array consisting of 876-GB Storage (12 x 73 GB), two (2) Power Supplies, four (4) Fans, one (1) RAID Controller with 24 MB of Cache, RAID Manager 6.22 Software, Rack-Ready; one (1) Dual Differential Ultra/Wide SCSI (PCI), part no. X6541A; one (1) Country Kit Keyboard and Mouse; Testing and Configuration. All components below ITEM NO. 2 need to be installed or connected to the Sun Fire V240 Server. This acquisition will occur via a Firm Fixed-Price contract. All items shall be delivered and accepted FOB-Destination to the Receiving Officer, Bldg. 125, Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren, Virginia 22448, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. on weekdays. No deliverie s will be accepted on Federal holidays. Delivery is required no later than 7 days after contract award. This solicitation number is N00178-04-R-2015. It is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated clauses and provisions are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circulars 2001-19 (7 Jan 2004), and DFARS Change Notice 20040113. The NAICS Code associated with this procurement is 334220. All offerors must include a completed copy of FAR 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certifications - Commercial Items, and DFAR 252.212-7000 Offeror Representations and Certifications - Commercial Items, with their quotes. The Defense Priority and Allocation System (DPAS) rating is DO-A70. The closing date for receipt of quotes is 2:00p.m. EST, 27 February 2004.
