Description

HVAC Bldgs. 1 & 4 A/E Project # 542-04-101 Provide professional A/E services to replace existing HVAC systems that supply the Podiatry Outpatient and Minor Operating Suites located on the 3rd floor in building # 1 plus the A&MM?s PDS Suite located in the basement of building # 4 with new systems. The existing HVAC systems are approximately 20-30 years old and have outlived their average useful life for building components. Both systems require significant up-grades and improvements in order to comply with VA HVAC Criteria regarding proper air changes and provisions for a positive / negative air relationship within the Suites. This project will replace the deteriorated HVAC systems, and provide a more energy efficient, cost saving system that will comply with VA HVAC Criteria and require less maintenance and repair down time. This project shall include all necessary demolition, mechanical, electrical, ductwork modifications for a complete and functional system. Project includes development of contract drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for review at 30%, 50%, and 100%. Also included are site investigation and construction period services, plus CIH services for asbestos abatement. The estimated construction budget is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. The area of consideration for this acquisition is restricted to firms located within a 100-mile radius of the VAMC Coatesville, PA. Interested firms must submit two (2) copies of SF 254 and SF 255 with appropriate documentation to the Contracting Officer (542/90C), VAMC, 1400 Blackhorse Hill Road, Coatesville, PA 19320 by close of business 03/25/04. NAICS 541330 applies. This is not a request for proposals. This procurement is set-aside 100% for small business concerns. See numbered notes 1 & 24.
