Description

Provide professional A/E services to upgrade the existing HVAC systems in Building 69 and 72 as the Coatesville VA Medical Center. The upgrade to Building 69 shall include replacing an air-handling unit, forty-one government furnished fan coil units and upgrading system controls. The upgrade to Building 72 includes replacing one chiller unit, one exhaust fan, one heat exchanger and nine government furnished fan coil units. This project will replace the deteriorated HVAC systems and provide a more energy efficient, cost saving system that will comply with VA HVAC Criteria Requirements and require less maintenance and repair down time. The project will include all necessary demolition, mechanical and electrical ductwork modifications for a complete and functional system. The existing HVAC systems are approximately 25-30 years old and are deteriorating at a rapid pace and replacement parts have become non-existent. Project includes development of contract drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for review at 30%, 50%, and 100%. Also included is site investigation and construction period services. The estimated construction budget is between $250,000 and $500,000. The area of consideration for this acquisition is restricted to firms located within a 100 mile radius of the VAMC Coatesville, PA. Interested firms must submit two (2) copies of SF 254 and SF 255 with appropriate documentation to the Contracting Officer (542/90C), VAMC, 1400 Blackhorse Hill Road, Coatesville, PA 19320 by close of business 03/29/04. NAICS 541330 applies. This is not a request for proposals. This procurement is set-aside 100% for small business concerns. See numbered notes 1 & 24.
