Description

Solicitation N00421-04-T-0069 is issued as a request for quote (RFQ). This action is not set aside for small business. The NAICS code is 611420. The Government intends to purchase on a firm fixed price basis and to solicit and negotiate the proposed purchase order on a sole source basis with Avid Technology for the part numbers listed below, under the authority of FAR Part 6.302-1. Avid Technology is the only known source that can provide the equipment and provide training that will satisfy the government?s minimum requirement for the intended purpose in accordance with the Statement of Work (SOW). *** CLIN 0001 quantity 1 each, P/N 00100-03094-01 Avid Unity Raid Option; CLIN 0002 quantity 2 each, P/N 0020-03428-02 HP XW8000 3.06 dual processor CPU with 1GB RAM, Windows XP Pro with SP1, 80 GB Hard Drive, NVIDIA QUADR04 980 XGL Card, DVD-ROM/CDRW COMBO Drive; CLIN 0003 quantity 1 lot, P/N 0550-00085-01, Installation and Training Travel Expenses for Mannheim; CLIN 0004 quantity 5 lots, P/N 0530-03063-01, On-site Daily Rate without travel expenses for Mannheim. *** Award is expected 11 March 2004, FOB Destination to Receiving Officer, NAVAIR-AD, Villa Road, Bldg 8115, Unit 11, St. Inigoes, MD 20684-0110; M/F: Foltz/AFNE. Inspection and Acceptance shall be at destination. The contractor shall extend to the Government full coverage of any standard commercial warranty normally offered in a similar commercial sale. Acceptance of the warranty does not waive the Government?s rights under the Inspection clause, nor does it limit the Government?s rights with regard to the other terms and conditions of this contract. In the event of a conflict, the terms and conditions of the contract shall take precedence over the warranty. The warranty period shall begin upon final acceptance of the applicable deliverable listed in the schedule. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is a request for competitive proposals. The Government will consider all proposals received by 2:30 p.m. EST, 9 March 2004. A determination by the government to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
