Description
The Airborne Separation Video Program at the Naval Air Systems Command, Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Patuxent River, MD 20670 has a requirement for P/N 2022262-001 Multi System Controller (MSC) units 20 each. The Government contemplates an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite type contract. The ordering period will be from date of award to 30 September 2005. The Government intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with DRS Technologies, Inc., 133 Bauer Drive, Oakland, NJ 07436. This requirement is being procured under statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition, 10 U.S.C. Section 2304 (c) (1), only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements. DRS Technologies is the sole developer and manufacturer of the existing Multi System Controller (MSC). This equipment must interface with the unique data controls and data buss of the ASVS. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, interested parties may submit a capability statement. This statement should include company name, point of contact, address, phone number, fax number, email address and company product literature. All capability statements received by 2:30 PM, Eastern Standard Time, 09 March 2004 in response to this notice will be considered by the Government for the purpose of determining whether to initiate a competitive procurement. The Government reserves the right to process this procurement as a sole source action based on the responses received.
