Description

In accordance with OMB Circular A-76 (Revised May 29, 2003) the National Institutes of Health (NIH) is publicly announcing the beginning of a Streamline Competition for Information Technology Telecommunication Specialists. The Competitive Sourcing Official (CSO) is Dr. Ed Sontag, Assistant Secretary for Administration and Management, Department of Health and Human Resources. The Contracting Officer (CO) is Lisa Schneider and Patricia Pemberton. The projected end date of the Competition is May 21, 2004. The Telecommunication Specialists services includes the telecommunication move, add, and change functions for installation and removal of telephone sets, installation maintenance and repairs of dial tones and voice mail, NIH Directory management and distribution, research and development on new communications products and services. These services are currently provided by twenty-one federal government employees and the following service providers: SAIC; Verizon; and Open Technology, Inc. NIH will issue another notice to announce the decision of the cost comparison on or about May 22, 2004. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AT THIS TIME.
