Description
The Bureau of Labor Statistics intends to enter into a sole source contact under Simplified Acquisition Procedures with HCI 300 Catalina Court, Suite 1000.., Sterling, Va. 20166, for Index and Script Software. The application has already been developed, delivered, and tested by an earlier award to HCI. Implementation of Index Script to the tested application will require changes in the application. Total cost for this requirement will NTE $26,250.00 The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) has a requirement to develop software that provides the caller with Bureau of Labor Statistics economic data. The caller will make their selection from various menus and also have the option to have a copy of the script faxed to them. The Index data resides on a flat file, which shall be FTPed onto Conversant and uploaded onto Oracle database. Shell scripts shall be developed to take the Index Script data and create the script document to be faxed to the caller. There are a total of thirty-two (32) screens and each screen has the option of faxing. Therefore, thirty-two shell scripts shall be written in order to generate a report for each option. Thereby, making it unnecessary for BLS to provide the Index Script data in a text or TIFF format. Since the application has already been developed and tested implementation of Index Script to the tested application will require changes in the application. The application is currently hard-coded with Index Script Report file name provided by BLS. To implement provided solution, the application has to be changed completely to include logic, to execute script, to generate Index Script Reports as stated in the tasks below: ?Application code shall be reviewed to make sure changes are incorporated in all the places. ?Call-flow needs shall be re-tested to check if scripts have been executed. ?New application needs shall be installed on BLS' site, which shall be re-tested by BLS. Support shall be provided to BLS during this testing. ?Thirty-two (32) Shell Scripts shall be written to generate Index Script Report. ?Local Oracle databases shall interface with the application and shall be developed in English only. ?BLS will record all menus and announcements.
